This presentation provides a high level overview of advanced SQL Azure services including SQL Azure Reporting, SQL Azure DataSync and SQL Azure Federations. It was recorded in October 2011 and replaces the previous version that I did for PDC 10. You can grab the PowerPoint deck from here. Enjoy!

Wanted to let folks know about a couple of corrections:

SQL Azure Reporting: I incorrectly stated that we will not support shared datasets. We actually do support shared datasets now in CTP3.

SQL Azure Federations: I incorrectly stated that we will support a merge operation against federation members in the first release. We will only support a federation split operation in the first relese, and we intend to support merge at some later date.

Thanks.

posted by rdoherty
