Cloud computing and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) consolidate computing resources into a smaller number of larger data centers that have to be more efficient and run at a larger scale. As a result of this consolidation, management complexity increases thereby creating a need for a comprehensive "lights out" solution, including management of the networking subsystem. Windows Server 8 enables remote networking management solutions. This talk will dive into the specific capabilities for PowerShell management of the network stack. Partners can learn how to hook into the network management stack, build upon the networking PowerShell primitives, and provide enhanced management experiences for customers.
