Holeček joined Microsoft in 2006 at the early stages of Vista and quickly became a leader on the development team and helped to bring Windows Vista to completion. As the leader of the Windows Experience development team for Windows 7, Holecek has been instrumental in the work on performance, quality and overall excellence of engineering achieved in the project. He has also been a strong manager and leader across the entire Windows development community. Prior to joining Microsoft, Holecek achieved significant success in the area of computer graphics. He began his career at MetaCreations where he worked on both Kai’s Power Tools and Bryce, both leading edge graphics products of the time. He co-founded ViewPoint, where he led the development of a rich, high-quality media and graphics runtime for the web. ViewPoint was used by many companies to provide consumers an interactive and graphics experience for products and media. Holecek served as director of development, senior vice president of engineering and also chief technology officer. I have a B.S. in Computer Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.     <description><![CDATA[<p>As corporate vice president of the Windows Web Services team at Microsoft Corp., Antoine Leblond is responsible for overseeing the group that manages integral Windows services, which today deliver updates, solutions, community and depth information for the Windows consumer, and include the Windows Store. The Windows Store will allow developers to sell their apps anywhere Windows is sold worldwide, whether they're creating new games or familiar productivity tools.</p><p>Since joining Microsoft as a software design engineer in 1989, Leblond has worked on the design and development of many components of the Microsoft Office system, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook. He led the development efforts for Microsoft Word 97 and Microsoft Word 2000, and from 1998 to 2002 served as director of Office development, during which time he oversaw the technical design innovation strategy of the Microsoft Office core suite. In this role, he also coordinated the Office application and shared technology development teams through the product delivery cycle. In 2000, Leblond received the title of Distinguished Engineer in recognition of his technical contributions to the success of Microsoft. From 2002 to 2006, he served as corporate vice president of Office Program Management, overseeing the planning and design activities for future versions of the system. Most recently, Leblond was senior vice president of the Office Productivity Applications Group, overseeing the design, development and testing of the Microsoft Office suite of productivity applications and services.</p><p>A native of Quebec City, Canada, Leblond has a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from McGill University in Montreal.
