Slides (view online)Later this year, Windows Phone will support the creation of third party applications that can continue to play audio in the background when the user switches away to do something else. In this session, we’ll dive into exactly how this is going to work. This will be a detailed, live coding session.

It reminds me somehow how ios "multitasking" is implemented
Nice talk, good to see generic and specific background capabilities being added to the platform while still protecting the users experience. Good to see you landed another good detail session this year. Thanks again Peter!
i am sorry if its a stupid question...but i couldnt see the link to download the presentation...whr can I find it?
It's great to be able to watch the presentations and I do in fact have it downloading. But a transcript would be much faster. It would be handy for future reference. And it would allow me to examine the content of the session before committing to a gigabyte download. Also, text supports direct seek whereas video is clumsy for anything but serial access.
OK now I feel stupid. Right under the picture is the like "Slides".
