Steve Sanderson comes all the way from England to share the new MvcScaffolding package, now built into ASP.NET MVC 3. What was once a crazy dream on stage at PDC is now open source and baked into the product. We’ll scaffolded out a basic CRUD site using the release of Entity Framework Code First, then quickly move beyond the basics and extend scaffolding itself with additional custom packages that you can make yourself! Advanced EF scaffolding! Why not WebForms Scaffolding or Knockout Scaffolding? The skies the limit as Steve pushes NuGet and PowerShell to the max.

Around the 18:50 mark in the video, you demonstrate how you modify the model to use property names that don't follow the convention that MVC Scaffolding expects. The example that's given is changing AthleteId to CompetitorUniqueRef. You decorate the property with the [Key] attribute in order to tell MVC Scaffolding what the primary key should be.

How would you specify a composite key? For example, for an Event model, how would you specify a composite key of EventName, EventType, and EventTime?
posted by NickS
