How do I download the videos?

  • To download, right click the file type you would like and pick “Save target as…” or “Save link as…”

Why should I download videos from Channel9?

  • It's an easy way to save the videos you like locally.
  • You can save the videos in order to watch them offline.
  • If all you want is to hear the audio, you can download the MP3!

Which version should I choose?

  • If you want to view the video on your PC, Xbox or Media Center, download the High Quality WMV file (this is the highest quality version we have available).
  • If you'd like a lower bitrate version, to reduce the download time or cost, then choose the Medium Quality WMV file.
  • If you have a Zune, WP7, iPhone, iPad, or iPod device, choose the low or medium MP4 file.
  • If you just want to hear the audio of the video, choose the MP3 file.

Right click “Save as…”

In this session, you will learn how to use sensors to make your programs more functional, easier to use, and more aware of the surrounding environment.

    Dan Polivy is a lead program manager in the PC|3 Division at Microsoft, where he is responsible for the Windows SideShow platform and other new features for Windows 7. Previously, he was a developer working on the design and implementation of Windows SideShow. He has been at Microsoft for over six years, and started as a member of the Tablet PC team. Dan graduated from Brown University with a degree in Computer Science, and currently resides in Seattle, Washington with his wife.

    Is there anywhere I can download the SensorKitDriverInstaller.exe?  I have the sensor board from PDC but I lost the CD... Sad

    We are working to make the contents of the CD available online, but as of right now they are not available.  Is it possible for you to reach out to a friend or colleague who also might have gotten a kit to get the CD contents?  If you're not able to find it, please shoot us an email at sensext _at_ microsoft.com and we'll see what we can do.
