Andrew J. Brust has been a Microsoft BI proponent since the release of SQL Server 7 OLAP Services and today sits on Microsoft’s BI Partner Advisory Council where he is briefed on, and contributes to, Microsoft’s BI strategy. Andrew was the co-Chair for Tech Ed’s BI track in 2008, and is a lead author of Microsoft’ Press’ Programming Microsoft SQL Server 2008, for which he wrote much of the BI content. Andrew is also a Microsoft Regional Director and MVP, and works extensively in the tech industry press, both as the Redmond Review columnist for Visual Studio Magazine and Redmond Developer News, and as a frequently quoted source in publications such as eWeek, CRN, Computerworld and CIO Magazine.
