Hector Linares

Hector Linares is a Principal Program Manager in the Virtual Machine Manager team at Microsoft. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Boston University. Hector moved back to New York City and began working in Wall Street IT. After 6 years with several fortune 100 companies, he moved to Washington State and started working with Microsoft in 2007. His work at Microsoft focuses on multi-hypervisor management, VM provisioning, workload conversion, large scale automation, storage management, standards body work, storage partner integration engineering, project management, feature design, planning, and execution. He is co-author of "Mastering Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2" (Sybex, 2009) and recipient of SNIA SMI Outstanding Contributor Award for 2011, 2012, and 2013.
