Pedro Teixeira

Pedro Miguel Teixeira is a Software Development Engineer for the Kernel Core Team at Microsoft Corp. Pedro is currently working on the technical planning for the future of light-weight threading and work-item oriented programming in highly concurrent scenarios. For the past two years Pedro worked on the design and implementation of UMS – User Mode Scheduling – a new feature to Windows 7. Pedro joined Microsoft in 1998 and has spent most of his career next to customers in Portugal, as Application Development Consultant, Technical Specialist and speaker in several MSDN events, until he moved to Redmond in 2007.
