Steve Teixeira

Steve Teixeira is the Director of Program Management for the Visual Studio Platform team, where he oversees the technical design of the Visual Studio IDE and Visual C++ as well as management of the Visual Studio project. Steve has served in leadership roles in Developer Division’s Technical Computing Group, Parallel Computing Platform, and Visual C++ and worked as a developer earlier in his career on Borland Delphi and C++ Builder. Steve has a broad base of experience in managerial and engineering roles in areas such as information security, professional services, and mobile. Steve authored five bestselling books on software development and is a highly regarded public speaker. Steve studied Aerospace Engineering at San Jose State University and holds an M.B.A. from the University of Washington.
