Nick Dobrovolskiy is responsible for research and development accomplishments, networking and social activities focused on improving legislative initiatives supporting software development in Russia. With 10+ years of experience in virtualization product development, he led the development of Parallels Desktop for Mac – the award-winning software that established Parallels as the industry leader in desktop virtualization software. Born in 1975 in Moscow, Nick took up computers and programming at an early age, winning the Russian National Programming Contest at 14. In 1997 he graduated from the Moscow State Institute of Radio Engineering, Electronics and Automation, where he specialized in automation systems for data processing and management. Nick started his career in 1995, soon making his way from a software developer and start-up founder to vice president of a multinational company.
