As a part of the .NET Framework 3.0 and above Windows Comunication Foundation provides a unified programming model for building service – oriented applications communicate across the network and processes, specialy when the solution is based on n- tier architecture. With WCF you can implement robust, scalable and secure applications, based on loosly coupled layers with minimum dependacy and maximum security. WCF as a service layer separates your DALs from presentation layer in secure and logical manner. By providing wsdl format of the service, WCF can consume any client platform not only Microsoft related. After short introduction about WCF and N Tier Architecture, whole presentation will be coding sesion about how to incorporate WCF in diferent scenarios. It will also be present several examples how to consume WCF service from Windows Phone 7, Silverlight, WPF, and web applications.
