Based on application virtualization technology, Click-to-Run enables Office installation in a fraction of the time it used to take, lets you use previous versions of Office side-by-side and even allows local executable to interact with it. Click-to-Run is designed to go beyond simple user self-installation and enable enterprise software distribution tools to automate installation. In this session, we show the controls available for Office, Visio and Project Click-to-Run deployment and integrate those into tools like the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, System Center Configuration Manager, Windows Intune, scripting – or just about anything that can run an elevated command to install Office. We will also discuss how software update management works in this new model and methods for downloading, configuring and consuming updated Click-to-Run builds. Finally, we will point you to further content where you can learn more about Click-to-Run deployment and management.
