Now, more than ever, it is easy to develop rich SharePoint applications using Silverlight, but most developers don’t know how to get started. Typically they are either Silverlight developers, who do not know SharePoint; or they are SharePoint developers, who do not know Silverlight. In this session I will bring both sides together and show them how to get started, walking through the process of building an end-to-end Silverlight application that is hosted in SharePoint, and which leverages the SharePoint platform for data and services. I will also look at how to leverage some of the new Silverlight 4 features, such as data binding to indexers, which allows easy access using the Silverlight Client Object Model.
