Windows Server 2008 R2 builds on the award-winning foundation of Windows Server 2008, expanding existing technology and adding new features to enable organisations to increase the reliability and flexibility of their server infrastructures. We will discuss about how Windows Server 2008 R2 dramatically improves the overall performance with the added support for advanced CPU architectures. In this session we will have the demos on the new enhancements in the Server Manager, improvements in the Server Core with the support for .Net and Improvements/streamlined management in IIS 7.5. We will also have the brief demos on the state-of-the-art features added in the Hyper-V virtualisation such as Live Migration, Cluster Shared Volumes. Along with these demos we will cover in brief Remoting Services with RDP 7 improvements and the efficient Power Management features. Lastly we will cover how Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 can work better together with newly added features such as DirectAccess and BranchCache.
