Managed metadata services is one of the most exciting new features in SharePoint 2010. Columns that can store Hierarchies and Content Types that can be shared across Site Collections! It makes ECM easier , allows companies to better store and support business taxonomies (and folksonomies) and simplifies the management of metadata across a large enterprise. Learn the process end to end. The demonstrations will work through all steps from; • The Hub and Content type Syndication; • Site Administration of setting up meaningful Managed Metadata Term sets; • Creating Columns and Content Types and consuming these in libraries and lists • and through to the End Users Perspective of how to use this metadata in navigation and search to find the information later.
