Adding a voice UI to your applications and busineess processes allows you to reach users quickly and conveniently using any telephone, anywhere your users work. This session provides you the background you'll need to build IVR systems with UC Platform using Office Communications Server 2007 Speech Server. From a developer's perspective, OCS 2007 Speech Server is a powerful and easy-to-use tool. Speech Server leverages the Windows Workflow Foundation, adding activities for common voice system concepts (answering call, presenting questions to callers, etc.) The grammar engine provides you a way to control the flow of your application using simple activities and the Automated Speech Recognition engine, allowing users to speak naturally to the application. In this session, we build an application from start to finish including building out the call flow, defining grammar, hooking up back-end systems and testing/deploying the solution. We offer tips and tricks and discuss what's coming in future releases.
