When Microsoft ASP.NET 2.0 came out, Microsoft provided a nice Membership Service to use for User and Role management. In the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Microsoft has made that service into a set of Web Services that can be used from Windows Forms and Windows Presentation Foundation in Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2008. This session explores how to take advantage of these services in Windows applications and thus save you hours of work developing your own User and Role management system.
