Standard deployment solutions do not make use of the benefits of the virtual world. The best way to deploy new servers in System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 is to create a master image and from that create templates to use for the new servers. In this session, learn how to create images for Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008 in an easy and repeatable way. Create different HW and SW configurations and use them as building blocks to create templates. When you have a template, learn how you can start using the self-service portal. When the library is packed with stuff that you can use, Virtual Machine Manager really gets to be your friend around virtualization -- but you need to get it right.
