In this session the speakers demonstrate an implementation architecture for a real-time data and events driven infrastructure for Real-time Business Insight, Analytics, and reporting. OSIsoft is a world leader in providing real-time information infrastructure for most of Fortune 500 manufacturing, energy, process and utilities companies where OSIsoft PI and Microsoft Office 2010 and SQL 08 R2 BI infrastructure is been implemented. The session deep-dives into the architecture using Excel 2010, SharePoint Server 2010 (Excel Services), SQL Server 2008 R2 (PowerPivot, Reporting Services and StreamInsight), notifications and alerts with Office Communications Server 2007 R2, and PI for Office 2010 with OLEDB and .NET web service based integration. Customers are achieving greater visibility into business operations; empowering employees to make better-informed decisions in real-time, and advancing IT investments as a strategic business asset driving agility across the enterprise. Detailed information is provided on creating self-service BI dashboards and drill down into detailed analytics.
