This session discusses lessons learned from over 200 field deployments of Microsoft Exchange Unified Messaging with OCS, IP PBXs, and legacy PBXs. Design and planning considerations are covered, including PBX constraints, media gateway selections, server sizing considerations, and high-availability. Technical case studies are presented, including one of a large, distributed company with various PBX and voicemail systems that has centralized their Exchange environment and consolidated their voicemail in the data center, while leaving PBXs as they were.
