Windows MultiPoint Server (WMS) is Microsoft's solution for low-cost shared resource computing scenarios in education. WMS can give schools the ability to provide more computing access to their students at a lower total cost of ownership. WMS is a Windows product that enables multiple users to simultaneously share a single computer, while each experiencing the benefits of Windows. User stations (monitor/keyboard/mouse) are directly connected to the host computer via off-the-shelf components. WMS has been in market since February, 2010 and has been gaining momentum in schools around the world. In this session, we review why and how schools are using WMS, WMS product features, and technical requirements.
