This session from the SharePoint product team provides a set of best practices for designing, developing, deploying, and operating large Internet sites built on SharePoint for Internet Sites 2007 and 2010—based on the product team’s experience with sites like Microsoft.com and other large customer sites. The talk provides recommendations for all stages of the website lifecycle, including recommended architecture and implementation approaches, support limits and other “gotchas” to be mindful of, and practical suggestions for how to address common business problems that don’t map directly to product features.
