In this session, learn how Microsoft Office and SharePoint professionals can be empowered to create self-service data modelling, reporting, and analytic solutions. The session begins by introducing the Excel desktop, together with PowerPivot, and how they can be used to create and deploy workbooks to SharePoint consisting of data models and rich, interactive reports. The session then introduces the three SharePoint Business Intelligence (BI) service applications: Excel Services, PerformancePoint Services and Visio Services. Numerous demonstrations explain and show how compelling reporting and analytic experiences, including dashboards, can be assembled. Notably, the topics presented in this session describe how sophisticated solutions may be produced without the need to involve IT or produce any code. This session is especially suitable for curious Office and SharePoint professionals looking to expand their expertise to BI. (And why wouldn’t you? This is a hot topic!)
