Many new Windows Store apps require connections to back-end services to show live and collaborative data coming from concurrent users and multiple services. One important element is the ability to get connections to any kind of service, using any protocol. In this case, WCF helps you connect Windows Store apps to online WebSockets services. In this session, you will see how a Windows Store app (as a WCF client) can talk to a WCF service hosted in an Azure VM role (Windows Server 2012 RC) over WebSockets.
