Mark Russinovich is a Technical Fellow in the Windows Azure Group at Microsoft working on Microsoft’s cloud platform. He is a widely recognized expert in operating systems and distributed systems. Russinovich is the author of two cyberthrillers, Zero Day and Trojan Horse, co-author of the Microsoft Press Windows Internals books, and co-author of the Sysinternals Administrator’s Reference. He joined Microsoft in 2006 when Microsoft acquired Winternals Software, the company he cofounded in 1996, as well as Sysinternals, where still he authors and publishes dozens of popular Windows administration and diagnostic utilities. He is a featured speaker at major industry conferences, including Microsoft TechEd, WinHEC, and BUILD.

Quentin Clark

Quentin Clark is the Corporate Vice President of the Database Systems Group in Microsoft SQL Server, reporting to Ted Kummert, Senior VP of the Business Platforms Division. In his current role he is responsible for the engineering and business leadership of the database systems of SQL Server – serving Microsoft’s OLTP and Data Warehousing capabilities. This responsibility includes the core relational database engine and data access, SQL Server Manageability, Parallel Data Warehouse, and advanced development work in databases, including the Gray Systems Lab in Madison. A 17-year Microsoft veteran, Clark held a variety of roles mostly in systems technology prior to joining SQL Server, including the Internet Information Server team, Application Center and System Center. In 2002, he joined SQL Server to lead work to bring unstructured data capabilities into the data platform, a vision realized over the last and upcoming SQL Server releases. In 2006 he took the position of General Manager overseeing the core relational database engine. Clark graduated with a degree in Natural Sciences (Physics) from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and doubled-majored in Computer Science. He lives in Bellevue, WA with his wife and two boys.

Scott Guthrie

Scott Guthrie is a Corporate Vice President in Microsoft's Server and Tools Business division, where he is responsible for delivering the development platform for Windows Azure, as well as the .NET Framework and Visual Studio technologies used in building Web and server applications. A founding member of the .NET project, Guthrie has played a key role in the Microsoft developer space since 1998. Today, Guthrie manages the development teams that build the developer platform for Windows Azure, Windows AppFabric Server, BizTalk Server, IIS, ASP.NET, WCF, WF and the Web, and Web Service and Workflow features of Visual Studio. Guthrie graduated with a degree in computer science from Duke University.
