Who would you ban and why?

Seeing as how everyone loves to talk about banning, let's throw out who you would ban and why.

I'd personally start with NeoTOM - I think the board would be better without his bizarre rants.

Now here's a topic that's the very definition of trolling: it can do nothing except start flamewars.

Agreed. I think that we know who wants who banned, and any serious discussion on the topic will lead to only flames. There is nothing constructive in this thread.

If I could only ban one person, it would probably be Charles for not giving me (to hell with the rest of you) an ignore feature.

If not him, then maybe you (thread starter) or W3bbo

By reading his posts, I think that Orbit is seriously, only 14 - 16 years old. We'd look bad if we kick out kids.

I was hoping to implement some sort of "list feature" that could block out several users at once.  Besides the code needs to be tidied up a bit anyway (the variable names are sort of meaningless and it could be further compacted).

I sense a whole C#/VB.Net project I could make out of this.  Sort of like a "C9 filter" on steroids.  Complete with ignore lists, etc. Throw in some keyword/semantic analysis, and hey...

Sort of like "Rose colored glasses" for the masses.  You could have a "Linux thread only" filter (to appease the trolls I guess), or a "user ignore" filter.

I'd ban the users who start dumb "Please ban..." threads like these.

Can we have a super-developer (I know I should try it though) create a add-on for us IE (and Firefox ) users? Simply click that add-on, enter a list of users (separated by comma?) and bam! Those annoying pesty little users are gone (atleast for the current thread). Someone can even extend that so that every time we visit a http://channel9.msdn.com page it runs that script/add-on Cool IE-Addon project... maybe I'll give it a shot . - Keeron
