Subject pretty much says it all. I have a single system to do my work on and I want to make sure that VS.NET 2005 Beta 1 is stable enough to install on my primary system.

No, it isn't. Microsoft doesn't recommend installing a beta product on a production machine.

They will run side by side. I believe though that you won't be able to debug aspnet 1.1 apps.

Isn't this a good opportunity to use MS Virtual PC or a similar product?
There's a free trial download of VPC right now, trial I believe lasts for 45 days... more than enough time to give it a spin without corrupting your primary machine...
