Avatars Freaking Out?!

Are avatars freaking out for anyone else?

For me, in any thread, it's showing the same avatar as the the thread starter's... Really weird...

This is something that always got me wondering. I've been to London a few times (last time was a month ago, for the Pixies concert) and really loved the city, the feel and atmosphere, and so forth. But I could never get used to the fact that after midnight, 90% of the city shuts down. Most of the pubs are closed, you can't find anything decent to eat and you have to wander around for a place to sit down in.
I'm sure that the locals are better at knowing what's open and where, but it always feels so DEAD, as opposed to Tel-Aviv's dozens of bars, cafe's and nightclubs open till the wee hours of the morning (just until the morning cafes open).

Ugh. And a good thing too.
Forcing animations down people's throats is horrid. It's very invasive, very annoying to some people, and should NOT be used gratuitously. Especially on something like an avatar, which should NOT be a constant attention-getter.
