I'm days away from getting my new Toshiba TabletPC, and I looking for recommendations for a good Art program, like InkArt or ArtRage. What do you TabletPC'ers recommend?

Take a look at this thread, it provides a few recomendations.

Paint .NET -- free and simple, but good
Microsoft had a beta for Acrylic, which was interesting. some kind of vector art thing I think
Everyone swears by Photoshop, but swear when they see the price
Gimp is another OSS image editor application. Haven't used it in a long time. -

I think he means a drawing/painting program than a graphics package.
I like artRage -
i like to use alias sketchbook

isnt a painting program more of a drawing program. -
InkArt is based on ArtRage and is part of the Tablet PC Experience Pack. Aside from some UI changes and code tweaking, they're functionally identical. Alias makes a nice product but it's expensive. Paint.NET has come a long way. They're currently in late beta on a new version and it's been very stable on my M200.
I'm days away from delivery of a new Gateway S7200 widescreen myself.

Paint.NET and Gimp- I haven't heard of them, I'll look into it.

Interestingly, a google search for "fractal painter" turns up the C9 link above as #4 in the list.

The thread you mention is what sparked my interest in acquiring a good art program!
One thing I am unable to find who makes Fractal Design Painter? Is that an old name which was changed to just Painter? -

For a small fee, I could purchase it for you and ship it your way.

OK, what is the secret to posting in INK?
The first day I tried it, i was able to get it to work by adding channel9 to my trusted sites in IE.
Now today, i attempt to post in ink and I get the standard message:
Please install the Tablet PC SDK (1.7) then come back and ink away!
Can someone give me a clue here?
