We're more or less all geeks here; some will admit to it sooner than others, but that point aside... I invite everyone to post a pic or pics of their computer setup(s), lab(s), etc either at home or work (NDAs and other rules permitting, of course). As
we've had issues in the past with this, I would request people to post a link and not the actual picture. Thank you.
This is gonna be a sweet thread.
Mine are set up at:

Holy URL batman, mind trimming that down to fix the formating.
PS: Your blog and website are down. Maybe you tripped a breaker with all those tubes
-
Cool setup. What are the specs on the computer and how much heat do all those CRTs put out?
I don't have a camera at the moment so I can't post anything unfortunately. -

The CRTs are warm to the touch, but mostly in the back. Amusingly, the two large ones (20.5" viewable) were free. Found them in a pile in a computer recycling plant lot, out in the rain. Gave them two weeks to dry off and had to repair a wire on one of them. The room's abient temp is about 5C higher than the rest of the apartment.

Am I the only one who thought of this?

-
Funny; kinda saw that coming.
-
Woo! Nice set o' screens. I used to have two monitors until I got my Zonet KVM switch! I have one Windows workstation and a Linux (Novell SuSE) testing server. Making sure stuff runs in both worlds is a big thing for me!

I'm more amused by the vain attempt shown by putting "Sticky" in the message title.
-
I find it amusing that by replying, you make it more so

-
Yeah it was a cheap shot, but I knew people would at least look at it. Obviously it's not really sticky...
.... (wipes off keyboard) oops... -
clearly not getting the results I was hoping for... you folks busy, ashamed, or not having a camera?
-
Can I ask how you work in an office that seems way crampped and cluttered? I know personal preference and all that, but wow. I have three computers in my cube, my laptop and two linux boxes that run headless
Cuts down on the clutter, vnc and ssh

-
heh, that's actually my home workspace. It's easy; every few weeks I just sweep the crap on the table into a trash bag and in between just kinda move stuff out of the way.
-
Well, I must admit I'm less than enthused; not a single reply with a pic. Labs, home setups, workspaces... Nobody?

From right to left:
- One of the earliest pieces of Cisco network equipment. I believe it is capable of processing up to 60 Baudot words per minute. It is not particularly reliable, but the case is made of an especially fine, deeply lacquered birch wood that is hard to come by these days.
- A Dell server. It encodes information on a series of magnetic drums. The sheer number of vacuum tubes means it gets quite toasty. I believe this was built by Chinamen.
- Backup power supply, wherein small rodents (squirrels, mice, etc.) are induced to tread apace upon a wheel, thus creating electro-motive force. Voltage is controlled by a large rheostat.
- A series of difference engines, each of which is capable of operating at a resonant frequency of three and one-third Hertz. The processing employs a hardwired resistor/capacitor matrix, which is proving to be more reliable than the programmable vacuum tube computation devices.
- I know not the identity of the woman in this image.
