Wait a second,  it seems to me that the major part of the community building started around VB.  While other languages had thier communities, VB was very popular with part time/hobby programers, hence the internet was a perfect way for us to get info and learn.
  Not that we/ they are novice programers, we all have different needs.  While VB is more slated towards Biz solutions, not the bit twidling stuff, It is a matter of choice, not brain abnormalities.  There are a lot of us that can use C# or ++ but use the tools for the apps we dev.   So calling us unable to learn, or poor at it is just wrong.  BTW it's all IL baby........
