Slate has a very profesional sounding podcast that you might like if you like Slate.com. They publish about one a day (maybe more?). They do have comercials (ugh) but that's what you get with pro's.

That's why I don't use over hyped devices like the iPod. I have been using portable video player devices for around three years now.
I'm on my third PDA (an O2 XDA IIs) but unfortunately it has a stupid headphone jack that isn't standard, and even at maximum volume the supplied headset isn't loud enough on a noisy platform or busy train. I've wasted money on devices that people have claimed are compatible - only to find that they deliver in mono or only to one speaker.
One reaches the point where one decides there are just too many devices being released, all with their own quirks, and one can't keep wasting money on buying the latest "does everything" device, only to find it requires too much effort and additional expense to deliver on its promise. The iPod is convenient for me and works nicely with the iTunes podast subscription service so I use that for audio. I'll use the PDA for video when I know I'm going to be in a relatively quiet area but not for audio - the iPod does that much better and has the volume needed when listening to music. -

that won't happen. If a game-dev is really good, he/she has no time for such things...
I listen/watch to twit, diggnation, hak5, dl.tv, itconv, nerdtv, packetsniffers, c-span, booktv, q&a, 1up, Hotspot, techphile, + some uni/science/politics/sports-stuff.
Most of it is worthless, time-consuming, but now and then there's something educating or funny. I don't have a TV, so some advantage there... -

Both myself and Strom Carlson host Binary Revolution Radio, which is a general show about technology-related topics. We (usually) do it live, with call-ins and everything, every Tuesday 9:30-11PM Eastern, but if that's past your bedtime, we do have a podcast feed, and extensive archives.
I think we do a good job, although the occasional klunker airs. But, we have about 1500 downloads per episode, so we must not suck too bad.
We are live tonight (1/24), in case you are curious. Give us a listen.

Hey, Pal, thanks for the plug! Personally, I listen to the Geeks With Blogs guys at www.podcaststudio.net. These cats know what going on. [6]

Joined just to say this, but I like "This Week in Science". It's not very profesional but it makes up for it in enthusiasm, and general cheerfullness. The presenters basically read out clips they've found of the science that week (duh) and very lightly descuss it. They often aviod getting into serious debate about the morally limits of science like cloning or privacy/big brother issues, which is slightly anoying but maybe the atmosphere of the show might be ruined.
Also the BBC have a few podcasts. They include "Today", the "Documentary Archive" and "From Our Own Correspondent."
"Today" is mostly of interest only to Brits (me). It reqards politics mostly. The last two are more of an interest to international "Documentary Archive" is a BBC World Service programme and it's good but "From Our Own Correspondent" is simply amazing. I've been listening to this programme for almost as long as I can remember, mostly because my Dad never seemed to turn of the radio, but it still has managed to form most of my world outlook. In recent years I have missed it due to an absence of a portable radio as I prefered the Ipod. Now though I no longer have to make the choise. Oh Joy!
If you just want film reviews you could do worse than "Ebert and Roeper" but since I've just looked at the clock and realised I should have been asleep four hours ago (it's 03:20 GMT) I'll just stop. -
I like the ARCast right here on Channel 9. I like the guy who did the shows on the Smart Client BAT and the interview with Billy Hollis. I am interested in the Micro-ISV podcasts too but the host puts me to sleep and it is a little annoying because he seems to have the need to interrupt his guest and plug himself.
What are some good advanced development podcasts?
