Hi guys,
There are times when you are working on a big project, and things might go sluggish or not so well, and suddenly you kinda loose interest in programming (temporarily) that specific project, although its important to have it finished.
So what do you do to keep going?

There are two main motivations in life, survival and entertainment if you can combine the two them life will be happier.
e.g. I need money to survive, programming provides that money it just so happens programming is a form of entertainment for me also

I go out cycling, which takes my mind away from it. I appreciate the world out there, and things don't look so bad then.

Exactly. I just got a job programming from home for good pay and it is the ultimate experience.

Oh yeah. On the subject--I switch over to a little interactive fiction for a few minutes as a little diversion or to a forum website. You know... like channel 9.

I leave the house and meet somebody
Leaving the house is the best. Hmmm, remembers me: I should work out more.
Well, we have +15° C today. I should go and meet somebody

I go Snipe Hunting.

I do programming for fun.
So if im doing anything else, i mainly read channel9, my gmail, or something else.

I have a good idea, which is not often, and I am programming something to do with that idea and I get bored, or stuck, I tend to go to the gym and do weight training for an hour or two, my mind is usually more focused then.

What do I do when I'm tired of programming? I test out my software:

-
documentation, theres always documentation to do!
failing that, read a book/listen to ipod -
Write novels.
-
....talk to the humans.....
-
debugging. [6]
Actually, go out for a walk or listen to music for a bit.
