Anyone else having MSDN download problems?

Got to 49% of Vista 32-bit download and then it just hung on "trying to connect" after my PC had gone into "hibernate" mode and I tried to "Resume". Eventually I cancelled the download but every since any attempt to do a download gives an immediate error:

Alas it's too late to call anyone now and I don't want to lose the weekend. I've tried using another "clean" PC but it gives the same error. Is it just me and the result of my cancelling the original download which was permanently stuck or is MSDN downloads just broken full stop?

I haven't got that error, but I haven't been able to connect for the past hour or 2. I had it running over night at a rather slow DL rate but it got "interrupted" some time during the night. I restarted it this morning and it DLd at full speed for a while then choked. Hasn't worked since.

Edit: I'm getting the error too. I didn't realize it is from clicking the download button on the web page and not an error from the FTM itself.

I saw the same pattern, slow start, stuck during the night. I also installed FTM 5.0 this morning, hoping it would solve the problem, and apparently it did as it started off much better (somewhere around 240KB/sec)...
Now I'm stuck at 93%, which sounds like a bad joke.

Irascian, if that's of any comfort, I also get the 11001 error for any MSDN download. They probably choked...

That's very odd, because, as we all know and ChrisA and Shooby are always ready to tell us, EVERYBODY is switching to OSX and Lunix.

So why all the interest in Vista? I don't understand...

Maybe they should use protected torrents so that the downloading would be easier on their servers.... BitTorrent is very efficient.... Since it would use the mostly unused MSDN subscriber's unused upload rate, then the distribution of Vista could be more easily done, similar to Linux OSes... And when everyone has Vista (after release) they could use their own P2P system on the Vista OS or use BitTorrent.... I think it is a good idea... *Prepares for flames*
