No doubt they have or will receive a letter from Microsoft Legal on the grounds of creating confusion for consumers.
Slightly more creative though is www.spreadinternetexplorer.com -

I think it's funny, Firefox people can't depend on features or quality to spread the product, they need to hijack domains. And for the record I use Flock so before I hear any "Fanboy" comments... -
Who are these "Firefox people" of which you speak? According to the WHOIS info, ie7.com is owned by a guy who lives in a basement.

Aww, do you see what they did to that poor cute doggie? Do Firefox users really do that to puppies? I use Firefox but I would never conceive of doing something that horrendous.dahat wrote:No doubt they have or will receive a letter from Microsoft Legal on the grounds of creating confusion for consumers.

There's a paradox there, you say that people freely promoting software is funny because the software's success relies on promoting it... yes, that's indeed true. Why do people promote something in the first place? Because they get paid to, or because they actually like it?
Do you really think IE7.com was hijacked by a zealot, or could the owner actually have liked Firefox?
Or were you just kidding around, since you use a modified version of Firefox?

No, it's because they're all pawns in an evil marketing scam designed to take over the world! Resist the evil marketroids! Use Internet Explorer. It's the only way to save the children!
Or something. -
