Of course, those systems are probably not the same. I'd like to see the same test done on a Mac using Boot Camp to boot XP.
Also, the test compares a Mac that uses window shadows with an XP machine without. I'm not doubting XP's responsiveness; I just don't think Vista in its default configuration compares to OS X 10.4 on the same system.
But... I could be wrong. I'd love to see Vista outperform OS X in every way, so that I would be much less tempted to put myself through the learning curve by making my next computer a Mac.
