Anyone else ever had wierd errors like this? Trillian 3.0 Pro, Build 947. It reads that it's connected to AIM, MSN (x2), Yahoo (x3), and Rendezvous (LAN). Also, if I go to add a
buddy it knows they're there, and my accounts are able to IM each other so it's really connected. Where are my buddies?

Seems like your "My Contacts" panel is minimized.
Click the Maximize icon in the "My Contacts" panel title bar, near the close ("x") icon. That should solve your problem! -
Nope, nothing. Though that would have made me feel pretty stupid!

You should really upgrade to Pro 3.1 build 121. That being said, this still happens to me in the latest version. What I do to fix it is with the contacts Trillian window up, if I click on the icon in my systray all my contacts mysteriously reappear again! I have to do this everytime I start Trillian, weird thing is that it doesn't happen on my Laptop computer, just my desktop.
Hope this helps

Trillian sucks. It's a fat, bloated and slow load of crap.

Do you use Windows Messenger too?

By bloated, I assume you mean memory usage? Mine's only using 20MB, and its CPU utilization is hovering around 0% with spikes to 1.5% every 30 seconds or so. Any idea what these numbers would look like if you combined MSN messenger, AIM, ICQ, and Yahoo? Not to mention the savings in desktop workspace. Or, do you prefer to have the larger, ad-driven UI? When you want to talk to people on different networks, do you like having to open multiple programs to accomplish the same task? -
D&R worked, but I'm still bothered about it.

Gaim's using 22.4 MB (16.4 MB Private Bytes if that's your preferred measure) and actually stays idle when idle (doesn't even spike up to 1.5% every once in a while). And in my experience, Gaim is much faster than Trillian.

Haven't used GAIM. Does it connect to all the above mentioned networks? Does it waste a minimal amount of desktop space? Does it have a good set of configuration options?
I'm not flaming GAIM. I'm asking because if it's better, I'll use it. -
Does Trillian support Skype contacts?
If it does I might switch back to it so I can keep all my contacts in one IM rather than having Windows Live Messenger open and Skype all the time.

Connects to all of the above networks: Yes.
Wastes a minimal amount of desktop space: Yes, takes up less space than Trillian (with Show Buddy Details off to make contacts take up one line like they do in Trillian).
Configuration: Just as configurable as Trillian, if not more so.
[edit] You will need to turn on two (included) plugins to get the exact functionality you're used to on Trillian: the System Tray Icon plugin, and the WinGaim Options plugin (to flash the conversation window). You also might want to download the Guifications plugin if you like toaster popups.

There is a Skype plugin for Trillian Pro but it requires that you have the Skype client installed and running at the same time.
