Earlier this evening the IE team released IE7 Beta 2 (English).
This is not a preview or refresh but actually Beta 2, for XP SP2, Windows Server 2003 SP1, XP x64 edition, and even an Itanium version. In the next few weeks, we'll release Finnish, German, Japanese, and Arabic versions. This is a public beta and we are encouraging
all categories of users - consumers, developers, IT professionals, everyone - to install and use it.
Download IE7 Beta 2 at http://www.microsoft.com/ie, read more about it on the
IEBlog.

WOOT! ... You have no idea how much I've wanted this "Missing History" bug fixed. Thanks!
-
Here goes... IE7 in 2003 SP1 - Server Reboot in 5,4,3...

I was so glad to see XP x64 support.

Installed and running great. I'll be sure to report any issues that I find. Been running the beta builds on my laptop since Beta 1, but this is the first build that's made it way onto my production machine.

IE7 for W2k3 - whoo!
Thanks for the update. As promised on Connect, the annoying back-button-bug was fixed. Joy! -
MSDN2 still doesn't work (e.g. http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bahh2fef.aspx), so I doubt that developers who rely on this documentation are willing to make the switch.

goooooooooooooooo team bruce. this is excellent news.

"WooHoo It works on 2003 SP1"
Individual grudges of IE7 aside it is refreshing to have an update at last.

Hmm. The functionality of that page seems OK, but it spikes CPU usage to near 100%. Cool find...

In the screen shots for IE I always see the search provider indicated in the search box, but that's never happened for me.
So is the text supposed to be there or not? -

The scrollbar doesn't work either. I reported this bug a couple of weeks ago here on C9 and on the Product Feedback Site. -
Grrrrrrrr....
Honestly..!!! What is so hard about remembering my link settings and/or leaving them alone.
This crap has been going on for as long as I can remember... every time I install a new version of IE.
'Oh Wait -- I'll just re-organise your links for you... -->> there you go... I fcuked them up for you again'
Also.. I REALLY hate being treated like a Mac user, and not shown what's happening during an install. I hope this isn't where we are going with Vista, 'cos that's not where I 'want to go today'. -
I've noticed that the Onfolio plugin doesn't work with it, at least on XP x64 and IE can't import the OPML feed list exported by Onfolio.
Over to connect I go. -

However the installable MSDN library finally works correctly. Woohoo.

Firefox Internet Explorer 7

It doesn't matter what screen width the browser is it only displays the live.com pages on a single row. -
Hey Bruce,
I noticed that the IE page shows a certain well-known site on the 'RSS Feeds' tab screenshot.
It good that you know who your friends are ...

You know only did i recently start trying out IE7.
But for the back and forward buttons, somtimes i notice that when i go to a page on a link the back button doesn't enable anymore.
Also, the drop down for the back and forward buttons, so does the drop down only correspond to the back page historys or what? -
Fixed in this beta (I hope).
