Mine were Lotus, GPEGA, Simon the Sorcerer and Carmageddon 1.
Edit: I forgot the Monkey Island series!

Ooh, hard to say, there are so many of them!
Sim City (original and 2000), Stunts, the Sierra "Quest" games, Wing Commander 2, 3 and 4, Lemmings, and many many more. I don't think I can pick just one.
I know this great site where you can get loads of old DOS games, but I'm not sure I can legally post it here. Although the site uses the term "abandonware" a lot of the stuff up there is most certainly not abandonware. -
Pirates!

Oh, these lovely series...
Believe it or not, I still found the 2000 version interesting that I kept install/remove it from time to time...
My favorate is to build the city on a handcrafted flat-pyramid-shaped landscape with 3-square wide steps... the lake at the top with 4 rivers on each side makes it ideal for hydroelectric powers. XD
It's a pity that I still don't know how to create a city on a cliff by the landscape tools.
My another favorate is "Civilization II". I really like building things around... that when my old schoolmates bring me to cybercafe to play "AOE:The Conquerors", they told me "Are you playing Simcity?" XDDDDDD

CivII.....I thought he said DOS

I used to play Moria a lot when younger on the old 8MHz Packard Bell. Was a text-based-graphics game. -
I loved Carmageddon I and II.....gotta find them and put them back on.

Carmageddon 2 was also cool. The 3th version was strange. I played it just a little bit and was confused afterwards... Haha I like to destroy all other competitors - that was cool. -
What about prince, dangerous dave, paratrooper?

Man they had so much games... My list is starting to become endless.
Does anybody remember Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure? I had only the demo, which was kind of sad, because I was through it after a day or two. -
Railroad Tycoon - allthough 2 was better.
-
R.O.B.B.
Raid On Bungling Bay
to be honest I do not recall if that was C64 or DOS !!! -
First game I ever played was a little game called 'Aldo', twas quite fun at the time. Anyway, Wolfenstein 3D and Under A Killing Moon, played them both forever until Windows 95 came along, then it all changed.
Recently played Tex Murphy: Overseer, had heaps of problems under XP, but it was still awesome, very sad to finish it and see it say Tex will return and that was it, they never continued it after that, Microsoft bought Access and Tex died [C]

I can't believe I forgot to mention Commander Keen!
And concerning running games on XP, DOSBox is an indispensable tool for anyone who's stuck in the past. -
Mech Warrior
X-wing, and Tiefighter -

Yup me too, even Keen Dreams.
The only Keen I never played much was Keen 3 because for some reason it was convinced we had a joystick (while we didn't) and didn't let us use the keyboard. -
That makes me remember the "Aladin" game (which was released by Disney). It only worked with a sound card. We had none, which meant I was always at my neighbours home to play

Disney released a lot nice games for their movies... I liked also the one that came with "The Lion King". -

Commander Keen. Man that was fun. I had all parts... Most of them just the shareware version (not the full one). But it was also fun to play them.
