b) if not - could there maybe be a "Always allow" option?

Click Tools
Click Internet Options
Tab Security
Select Internet
Click Custom levelFind: Scripting
Allow Programmatic clipboard access
- Disable
- Enable
* Prompt
Probaly this?
Btw. It might be better to just add some sites that you trust or visit often to trusted sites and only allow them. -
thanks

That's the setting... it's turned off by default in IE6.
Personally, I like it turned on to Prompt: it prevents web pages from grabbing what's on your clipboard without your permission.
(which is probably why it's defaulting to Prompt now) -
That shouldn't happen.jaylittle wrote:

Yeah it also prompts me every single time I paste something into a textbox on a web page. This is very annoying and close to maddening at times.
This security setting is for script code to access the clipboard. If there is no script code (i.e. it's just an edit control on the web page), you won't get it.
But for edit controls that use script to handle pasting (like C9's post editor) you will see it. -

Couldn't C9 bypass this problem by letting the user paste directly into the box (like an edit control) and then parsing the data once its already in the box? As opposed to before it goes in?
