A quick review of my favorite features of the new products:
- New Bluetooth set.
- Bios support + F-lock persistence! (If your machine supports USB mouse and KB at boot)
- All the goodies of the high end sets (high res wheels, tilt wheels, favorite keys, media controls, big mouse WITH a thumbscoop!)
- Much better battery life than the previous Bluetooth set.
- Much improved connectivity. Loss of connection should be very rare if anything at all, and it’s much easier to use and connect devices... including 2 PCs (via PAN) so you can quickly share a directory, open a Bluetooth connection to another PC and get your little LAN going on. (do notice that you can’t use it as a bridge to get to an internet connection).
- The Bluetooth experience works much better now, I have a SE phone that I can sync to outlook with a single button (3rd party app provided), and can easily send and receive files to it. Additionally I have a bluetooth printer in the corner of my office, it's great to be able to put it where I want, not where the cable will reach!
- New wireless laptop mouse
- Coolest little critter. Small receiver docks in the mouse when not in used and turns the mouse off (which helps preserve battery power). I carry this in my pocket all the time now… (yup… expect mouse in your pocket jokes)
- Fingerprint products.
- Cool. Help accessing most of your websites...
What do you think?
Carlos.
