Hi people I know this is a strange request but i have a client needs to recover and old dos database but his MS DOS 6.22 installation disks are screwed.
Anyone know where i can buy MS DOS 6.22 installation disks.
Tryed the recovery on the free DrDOS and FreeDOS but it fails but the database was running on MS DOS 6.22 so its my last chance. ![]()
Thanks

Look at eBay or find an old computer store in your area and see if you can get a copy

I searched my HD & found something that may help. Leave your e-mail address & I'll send it to you.

He's got an "email me" link

EDIT: I know I've seen it there before I just can't find it - not even using google.
I know what you're talking about, but those 3 files are just DOS6->DOS6.22 upgrade files and cannot be used to create boot disk.

Does he have an "attach a file" link?W3bbo wrote:

www.bootdisk.com has them

If you have access to a MSDOS 6.22 PC, you should be able to mak the requisite boot floppy with something like
format a: /s
if memory serves
www.ultimatebootcd.com may also be of some use -
MSDN has MSDOS6.22 and previous versions.

I think you can make one from Windows95 god forbid if anyone is still running it...

Doesn't UBCD have a 'Create DOS Boot Disk' option?

Edit: someone already mentioned it. -

For (rhymes with duck) sakes -
Has Microsoft officially released MS-DOS free to the public?
Or is it still considered pirating if you downloaded it off the internet? -

It's not been released for free to my knowledge.
Technically it's even still sold (as part of an MSDN subscription). -
