I told my bf that I don't like to programming, and he promised me that he won't let me do what I don't want do in next year, and he already has a business plan on convenience store, this is the most warmly words I never heard before. He told me lots of things about his plan which contain of tons of business terms I don't know, but I like it. I knew I have a stronger motive for making money, but also knew I am lacking the necessary knowledge or stupid in business, so I think my position should be for help my bf, and take care of him, but sometimes I wonder he will leave me or not when he became rich, even he said love me. I don't want to make a beautiful bottom drawer which is not for myself.

In fact, the answers are not important to me, because I have gave my words that will be the staff of store without pay, this may my last chance, and put all my eggs in the basket. Thanks for the reply, I also want know what you guys think. -
"but sometimes I wonder he will leave me or not when he became rich"
Because you asked this, it means you have doubts about him. If you truly knew him then you wouldn't have to ask this... -
leighsword,
Some guys (like me) are still trying to get a girlfriend after two decades while here you talking about them leaving. :O
LOL, I must be over-reacting or something.

QFT...
sounds to me like you are thinking too much about things leigh.... try a little Taoism .... don't worry so much about things you can't control.... -

1) Find a guy you don't have to worry about.
2) Marry him so that when he does leave you get half.

Wise words.

Would this apply to Chinese laws though? -

True, but is there really that much in this world you can't control? Especially in the situation of finding happiness in another person? Don't we all control our own destinies?

Why don't you hedge your bets and get rich yourself, then if he pulls a Dear John, you'll be set!
Like Harlequin said, it sounds like you have doubts. I don't know what you want out of life, but it sounds like he's offering for you to "settle down."
Do you want to settle down?
Do you want to own a convenience store?
Do you want to get married to this guy and have his kids?
I think that's his plan. Then again, if he's handsome and kind, go for it
-
Define rich.
I think you can better focus on making sure he gets some good advice, an outside look on his business plan from an expert, etc. Then to worry about if he will leave or not, will you leave if you became rich?
I don't have a clue how all this works in china, but for example, making a lot of money out of 1 convenience store over here in a year time from starting up sounds like black magic to me. You will probaly be closed to the minimum or avarage income, then to the making a lot of income.
The chance that he will become rich, a millionaire or close out of only 1 convenience store like that is very small if you ask me. You need a few of those stores at least. Setting them up, running them, and making maximum profit out of them in a year time is a hell of a job for someone who just starts this. There comes a lot more to this than just opening the doors in the morning and selling products.
I am not saying he should not do this, but if he does he should minimize the risk. Because if the idea in his head was a bit to bright and not that realistic, you probaly need to do a lot more programming. So, let some expert take a look. They over here won't give you a loan if they are not sure you have gold in your hands, I gues/assume that situtation is the same in China, but that might for some weird reason differ.
What if his project doesn't go as planned(the wrong direction)? What is the financial situation, for you and him then?

I'd never leave a g/f or wife just because I became right, but I'd be worried that I'd get rich and that they'd leave me and clean me out of money they didnt earn.
-
I wouldn't leave my wife If I became rich; shoot, if I become rich it will most likely be due to the work that we both did together
She works in Military Dentistry, and I'm a software engineer...so we are constantly racing to see who can make the most
money
Not really, but we both do pretty well.
Being rich means NOTHING if you have nobody to share it with. And you certainly don't want to share it with somebody who you doesn't really know truly. My wife and I are not rich right now, but perhaps someday we will be (until we have kids!).
If you love this guy, marry him. If he decides he doesn't want you when he's rich, then make him poor
And besides, you're an attractive woman - there are thousands of niners who would love to buy you dinner
I bet many of them are making pretty good money,
too
I wish my wife was a software engineer!
But noooooo. She has to be in dentistry, and always hackle me about my teeth and making sure I floss, blah blah blah
Why can't my wife just see how COOL the world of programming really is

You're better off her doing something completely different than you. I'm a programmer and my wife's an (aspiring) opera singer and we couldn't be happier. We have equal respect for what the other does and wouldn't want to be with someone of the same type of profession. Can you imagine the drama that would go on if two opera singers married? Or the shear boringness (a word I just made up) of two programmers being married? No offense to anyone in those situations.
Opposites attract for good reasons.

agree completely. in the c9 interview (sorry) when asked about my better half all i said was shes seen some cartoons etc
i should have said:
tory is the best. she is my strength and life.
if you find someone that is totally cool - (yet opposite of you) you are one lucky person

-
Worse is one you leave who keeps returning... rich or poor.

-
Depends if I could get a better one really! I dont love my g/f just yet so it wouldnt be much of a switch over....

the "what has been" and the "yet to be" are two things you can not control.... no matter how much people believe they can....
phrases like "what will be, will be" and "the past is over" have stuck around for a long time due to the shear truth that they so wholy portray..... life happens.... every day....
