So I thought
this was a good straight to the point article..
"DigiTimes reported yesterday that Microsoft and PC makers would offer a free upgrade coupon. But Microsoft isn't yet willing to officially confirm that it will be free. "It's true that we are
talking with our partners about plans for a coupon offer, but those discussions are ongoing, and we don't have anything else to share right now," spokesman Michael Burk said in an e-mail yesterday." - however.....
"it (Microsoft) was contemplating doing something to make it easier for people who buy computers with Windows XP around the holidays to upgrade those machines to Windows Vista after it's released."
So what is the cut off point? Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas?

Christmas is likely I think if it's about to happen.
The period cannot be too long as it'd make software assurance worthless. -
Well if this comes to pass, I will just spend an extra hundred and get a low end pc and Vista for free:D
