thanks
same ol same ol... a few yelling posts about wga & spaces... - then a few "nice" posts
* ps - we all had fun (my dads cottage) -
what kind of camera do you have?
-
canon rebel xt slr (w/sigma 300mm zoom lens)
edit -
vista the good: actual size (100%) is back in photoviewer (as is copy finally) [y]
vista the bad: takes double the time xp did to download 250 photos off camera to laptop - messes with the order of the pics ( at least for me) seems to divide in half and put one pile at begining- and one half at end. this means everything goes out of order [n]
*again just my experience this weekend with new build loaded
(audio worked on kid videos - thankyou!) -
Looks like you're having a great summer, Jamie

Thanks!

Very nice, jamie!
That's the same camera I have. Love it!
Btw, you should make one with the C9 guy with a sun burn. He's very white. I'm sure the sun would get to him really fast!
-
Jamie, you show us how cool the 9 Guy really is.

What kind of a dog is that? Beagle?

Great Work Jamie

In my experience, Vista is the miracle OS when it comes to photos.
My cousin came home from New Zealand some months ago with an image tank with a few thousand photos on it. But he found several hundreds of those couldn't be read anymore. So he gave it to me with the assignment "please try to rescue my photos". So I went to work on it. Tried every trick in the book. I even messed around with a binary editor editing individual sectors of the disk. It didn't help. I managed to copy maybe 2 or 3 photos unharmed, maybe 5 it could copy but would end up corrupted, and the rest it simply wouldn't copy.
Having pretty much given up after almost a full afternoon working on this, I tried accessing the image tank under Vista (build 5308 or 5342 I think), just for the heck of it. And I noticed explorer was dilligently creating thumbnails for images that XP couldn't read!
So I started copying the folders. It took a long time, a very long time even. Speed would on occasion drop only a few KB/s. But it kept going. After a few hours of copying, I had been able to copy all but a few of his photos!
When I later tried it again in XP (just to check), XP still refused to copy the files. Why Vista succeeded where XP could not, I haven't a clue. I just know it did, and that my cousin is thankful for it.

But has 9 been to Big Ben?????? Watch this space!

Excellent work. When are we going to see some shots of a Tux guy being put under arrest by a group of Nine Guys?
-
We wont ever see that unless of course you want to make that picture up yourself. Once again, I think its time to ban DarthVista.

Who's side are you on anyway? I don't like Linucks, I've made that clear several times, and I love MS products. Why would you ban me over that?!?! I think this site is great and a valuable resources to the millions of fans out here who may never get to meet a Microsoft employee personally or visit their campus.rjdohnert wrote:We wont ever see that unless of course you want to make that picture up yourself. Because you're a moron? (or a troll in disguise, as it's getting more and more evident)

See, that's the thing: we need "fans" acting like you as much as the open source movement needs idiots like the one who insults people using IE.
You like Microsoft products? That's awesome and jolly good for you. You would love a police state? Get out of here, right now. -
Wow. You are just amazing. I like your products, praise your efforts and you call me a "moron".PaoloM wrote:you're a moron
Do you do this to Microsoft Partners too? I hope Zeo doesn't see this thread. Wait...he works for you. Well, if he didn't, you'd better hope he didn't see it! I know you are not as coldhearted as you look in your picture, so please let's be civil here and work on image changing!
You don't sound very supportive of the products you produce or the community here. And now I'm an idiot. So lemme guess, you want only controlled drones posting here? Charles stated something about "respect". Perhaps you should look into that concept and learn how to "respect" other people's opinions.PaoloM wrote:See, that's the thing: we need "fans" acting like you as much as the open source movement needs idiots like the one who insults people using IE.

So I was a little overenthusiastic. So what? You're telling me you never get excited about a product you ship?PaoloM wrote:You would love a police state? Get out of here, right now.
I don't get it. I love what your company does. I offer up advice and helpful news and you p*ss on my efforts. Either this site is open to the public and open to diversity, or your are just trying to create some type of controlled climate that follows your script. WTF?
