Assuming you mean British pounds, that comes out (according to Google) to 22.73 an hour American.
No offense, I know it's VB, but that seems a little low to me... -
Post this to http://channel9.india.msdn.com, you may get couple thousands of replies.

Ah in UK . Now why didnt that suprise me when I saw a low rate Quoted

-
Sorry guys but this isnt a full on contract and all the work will be done remotely hence why the rate isnt what you would expect if you had to travel to the workplace etc etc.
Anyway I am a very small company whos just started in need of a little help with work, I cant pay top wage for a contractor this is why i'm only asking for help on this forum, if your too much of a top dog programmer then dont email me simple as that, on the other hand £12ph isnt to be sniffed at and would suit someone with some free time and the love for programming.

No offense, but it still sounds low to me. Just remember, you get what you pay for.
Having said that, there is a site where you can put out "contracts" for work and users can bid on how much it would cost them to do the work. A guy at work uses it for some of his side stuff. I'll try to get the name of it from him and post it here. He gets a lot of people from India who are willing to do the work pretty cheap, but he does have some quality and communication issues. Just be warned.
In the meantime, good luck. -

Yes i know about rent a coder, not my cuppa tea thanks
I know permanent IT staff who get paid less than that in the UK it's not like im trying to get a phillipino child to stich clothes together for 2p a day is it jeez lol. -
Just to point out, there are potentialy good reasons for taking small jobs on the side for a UK Contractor *cough*IR35*cough*

If I had .Net experience it would be the sort of thing I'm looking for, as I've just graduated looking for work and want little projects to fill my time, give me some experience and a bit of cash.
Might be worth seeing if any local uni's would send an email round the graduates/students or if the lecturers can contact a few good students.
