I am 100% sure that the indexer has indexed all my files. I have used Desktop Search in XP for a very, very long time. The behaviour occurs on XP and Vista. The Indexer on both operating systems  ignores exactly the same files, those that were moved into the music folder by Bearshare. Every time I have installed a new version of Desktop Search, I have always rebuilt the index.

However, I have not found that any other files would have been ignored by the indexer. 

The Oncreation-thing sounds possible in a way, but it still doesn't explain why the files don't get indexed say a month later when I rebuild the index.
