it is unimportant, maybe microsoft create worse product or programmers in MS not too smart, but they can do business. Look at the statistics.

It all depends on your site content. I have a website that deals with a cross platform (Windows, OS X, Linux) program and the Windows numbers are about 15% lower with Linux and OS X filling the void.
