I know there are a number of Thai Niners, so can someone explain just what's going on and who the factions are in this alleged "coup"?
It's been 8 years since I was last in Thailand, seemed quite nice back then, so what's up?

offcourse, but who would backthem up/ These generals would not do something like this, unless supported by a forgein entity, like the CIA or MI5. Generals fear the populations, and their soldiers under their commands, so they need some backing up to carryout a coup like this.
A similar situation happened in Iran, with the Shah, Mosadiq, where CIA admit they carried out terror, and flase flag operations, and agents of influence and bribery to make the people raise up againt the ruler and change the regime.
